In the context of its collaboration with the European Association of Fisheries Economists, the European Commission organized in May 2015 a conference in Malta focusing on Economic Advice in Fisheries Management and the trilogue between scientists, administration and stakeholders.
Recognizing the evolution of the fisheries sector in the past decades and the rapid addition of new stakeholders to the field, this conference seeked to generate economic advice for the future of the industry.
